PURPOSE
IPLEA'S purpose is to "promote the advancement of the Park Law Enforcement profession by developing training and educational opportunities for administrators, managers, practitioners, and educators involved or interested in aspects of security and protection services in an environmental or recreational setting."
IPLEA, through its affiliation with the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association, has access to legislation in areas effecting law enforcement in the parks and recreation setting.
Through affiliation with the Park Law Enforcement Association (PLEA), members have a voice in issues at the national level, through education, training forums, and programs.
